Instructional Objectives
Courses of instruction are designed for the person who desires to enter in the real estate business and to prepare
himself/herself to take the state real estate examination to qualify for licensure.
Curricula Offered
Preparation for Salesperson Licensure – Basic Principles of Real Estate – 60 hours
First Year Salesperson Post Licensing Course – 18 hours
Broker Post Licensing Course – 30 hours
Continuing Education Course – 6 hours

Transfer and Leases

Land Description
Appraisal
Closing Statements

Laws of Agency

Real Estate Arithmetic
Admission Requirements
All students must be 18 years of age and competent in the reading of required materials. The school does not grant credit
for previous education, training and/or work experience.
Completion Requirements
Each course has specific requirements for completion. Please see these requirements on the enrollment application.
Leaves and Absences
Classroom - Due to the short length of these courses, no leave will be granted. A student is expected to attend all scheduled
classes. An absence will be excused only in the event of an emergency. Students should contact the instructor as soon as
possible when he / she cannot attend class. A student missing more than one day will be terminated and must reapply for
the next class.
Correspondence – Students must complete the online course within 12 months of registration.

Classroom Calendar
Day classes begin the second Monday in each of the following months: January, March, May, July, September and
November. Classes begin at 9:00am and end at 4:30pm Monday thru Friday. Continuing Education classes end at 4:00pm.
There will be no classes scheduled on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Refund Policy
Refund policy as required by Act 1213 of the Arkansas State Board of Education: Students who drop out due to illness,
transfer, etc will be refunded the remainder of tuition on a pro-rata basis determined by the number of classes attended. A
minimum of $100.00 is non-refundable for students who drop once a course has begun.

Kent Keahey is President of Broadway School of Real Estate, Active Real Estate Broker of Keahey Real Estate as is a member
of the Real Estate Education Association. Kent Keahey is also a contributor to Pearson Vue Real Estate Exam Guide.
Accreditation
Broadway School of Real Estate is licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Private Career Education and is accredited by the
Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) (www.arello.com) to offer distance learning courses and is certified
as a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) (www.idecc.org).

Classroom facilities are air conditioned and include blackboard, flip chairs and a video cassette program projector.
Maximum seating is 30 students.
